Tulip Bulb Event

Our Tulip season has ended and now we turn to digging all those bulbs out of the ground.

Bulb pickup will start 5/26 from 11am-7pm and run for at least one week in conjunction with our U-pick Strawberries.
Hours of operation

  • Monday 11-6
  • Thursday- Sunday 11-6

The bulbs will be dug and left in crates for you to collect the varieties and colors you prefer.  These will be located near our checkout tent, other areas of the farm(lake area) will not be accessible.

The price for a bucket of bulbs will be $30(plus taxes and fees). Each bucket holds roughly 90-100 bulbs depending on variety.

Bring gardening gloves to keep your hands clean and some spare bags/Ziploc bags if you would like to separate your bulbs.

Tickets are per bucket not per person, there is no admission price for the bulb dig.  Please keep this in mind when purchasing tickets.

How Do I care for my new bulbs?

  • Clean off the soil and let the bulbs dry.

  • Store the bulbs in nets or paper bags. Keep in a cool dark place before replanting them in the fall.

Where to Plant Tulips

Tulips require full sun for the best display, which means at least 6 hours of bright, direct sunlight per day. They also prefer fast-draining soil and, consequently, make excellent additions to rock gardens.

When to Plant Tulips

Tulip bulbs should be planted in the fall. The soil needs to have cooled off from the summer growing season before you plant, We plant our bulbs around the first week of November based on weather.  Check the soil temperature with a soil thermometer and plant when the temperature is 60 degrees Fahrenheit at a depth of 6 inches.
